Till death us do part

Size: 200x120x160mm
Medium: Cast acrylic

The Tower of London and its long royal history is marked by power, greed, betrayal, mystery and death.  Its regal walls hold a legacy for London, the Kingdom and countries as far reaching as India. All that has gone on within its walls has shaped the history of humanity, for better and for worse...

For this year's 10x10 Article 25 charity auction Karl was asked to create an artwork based around the Tower of London.

The piece will be auctioned on Tuesday 1st December during an exhibition at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA HQ) Portland Place, London.

Other artists raising money for Article 25 include: Anthony Gormley, Rafael Viñoly, Eric Parry, Ed Cullinan, Wolfgang Buttress, Norman Ackroyd, Ian Ritchie and many others.

10×10 brings together 100 participants to create 100 pieces of work, giving 100 different perspectives within a snapshot of London. These works are then auctioned off at a special fundraising reception evening, which this year will be held at the RIBA’s headquarters in Portland Place, London.
